Get ready to kick off the holiday season in Frisco, Colorado, with the return of “Wassail Days“, a heartwarming event filled with festive cheer, running from Saturday, November 30, 2024, to Sunday, December 8, 2024. This cherished celebration brings the community together with delicious wassail tastings, holiday lights, and family-friendly activities that everyone will enjoy.

What is Wassail?
Wassail is a spiced cider traditionally shared in toasts for health and good fortune. During Wassail Days, Frisco’s local businesses put their own twist on this classic beverage, offering free tastings for visitors as they explore the town. Guests can sample different versions of wassail at participating locations, collect stamps on their “12 Sips of Wassail” card, and earn a commemorative mug when they try at least 12 varieties!

Saturday, November 30, 2024

Small Business Saturday – Start your Wassail days celebration on Small Business Saturday and shop local at businesses on Main Street and in the Summit Boulevard area and grab a bite to eat at one of Frisco’s many great dining establishments.

5:45pm – 7:00pm
Carolers on Main Street – Carolers will begin at Frisco Historic Park for the tree lighting ceremony and then make their way up and down Main Street filling the town with good cheer and holiday music.

6:00pm – Tree Lighting followed immediately by Fireworks
Frisco Tree Lighting and Fireworks at the Frisco Historic Park – A special guest will join us, as we will illuminate the town tree and have fireworks immediately after the lighting. Sing along with carolers, enjoy fireworks, and warm up with fire pits. Hot wine and wassail sales will benefit the Family and Intercultural Resource Center.

6:30pm – 8:00pm
Santa Visits at the Frisco Historic Park in the Gazebo – Santa will visit with children to find out their fondest wishes. Bring your camera for photos.

Santa’s Calling – Sign up online for Santa’s Calling between November 1 and December 1 for a call from Santa. On the evening of Tuesday, December 3, 2024, Santa will be calling all the kids on his list.

Saturday, December 7, 2024

8:30am – 10:30am
Breakfast with Santa presented by the Summit County Preschool – This breakfast with the holiday’s favorite big guy will take place at the Old Frisco Community Center located at 110 3rd Avenue, Frisco. Santa will arrive at 9:00am. Enjoy a pancake breakfast, holiday arts and crafts, and a visit and pictures with Santa. Tickets are $10 per child and $20 per adult and benefit the Summit County Preschool.

10:30am – 11:00am
Storytime
 with Reindeer at the Frisco Historic Park & Museum– Join us for our fourth annual free story time sponsored by Next Page Bookstore and the Summit County Library! Come pet Santa’s reindeer and listen to a winter-themed story read by Allison from the Summit County Library. This year’s story is The Snow Thief, written by Alice Hemming and Nicola Slater. Enjoy wassail, hot chocolate, coffee, and Mexican wedding cookies from Butterhorn Bakery, and take home a craft kit from Frosted Flamingo. Insider tip- the reindeer will stay on site (weather permitting) until Santa is ready to fly home at 1:00pm. Storytime is sponsored by Next Page Bookstore and the Summit County Library.

11:00am – 1:00pm
Santa Visits at the Historic Park in the Schoolhouse Museum – Santa will visit with children to find out their fondest wishes. Bring your camera for photos.

3:00pm – 4:00pm
Carolers on Main Street – Carolers will sing in Frisco Historic Park in the gazebo as well as stroll areas around Frisco Visitor Information Center (1st & Main) with good cheer and holiday music.
